Our Southern Tanzania family safari adventure encapsulates the epic wilderness and authenticity of a luxury family safari in Tanzania.

Tanzania’s southern parks are less famous than their northern counterparts, however, they are no less spectacular. As access has improved in recent years, these parks have become our firm favourites for an authentic family adventure.

Over a period of seven nights and eight days, you’ll enjoy a unique family safari in the magnificent plains of Ruaha National Park and the stunning waterways of Nyerere National Park.

This itinerary is best enjoyed from July to October when wildlife viewing is at its peak, however, if you really want to get away from it all and not see a soul then the green season from January to March is beautiful and the birdlife is phenomenal.

On this fantastic luxury family safari holiday, you’ll enjoy incredible game-viewing in Ruaha’s vast open spaces, as well as enjoying the opportunity to partake in boat safaris in Nyerere National Park. The walking safaris in this part of Tanzania are particularly exceptional. You can even try a spot of fishing.
